A Recovering Alcoholic Discusses Treatment at Lakeview Health

Hi, my name is Mike and I’m an alcoholic. I’ve been here at Lakeview for 22 days now. 23 days ago, 23 days ago, I had lost all hope and I really had nothing else to live for. Alcohol had taken everything from me that I valued in my life. I lost everything before I came here. I had some legal problems, lost my house, was arrested, in jail, had a lot of reasons to quit, but wasn’t able to. I came here and things started to change. My eyes were opened and I got to see things about me that really, really bothered me. Now, through being here, I’ve been able to get some help for these problems. The staff here has been great. Therapists, counselors, nurses, doctors, everybody’s been great to me, and, I’ve enjoyed my stay here. I’m about halfway through, and without, without coming here I don’t know where I would be right now. But, I realize I have a second chance on life and I look forward to the future.
