Levels of Care
Lakeview Health Systems, established as an alcohol and drug detox and treatment facility, provides five levels of care. Each patient’s treatment plan is determined by his or her physical and psychological status. The multiple level care approach, using a medical model for detox and addiction treatment, is based upon guidelines set by the American Society of Addiction Medicine. Medical and therapeutic assessments are constantly updated, providing patients with an ever-changing and comprehensive treatment program. An interdisciplinary team approach ensures continuum of care for every patient. We do not believe in a cookie cutter approach to medicine and substance abuse treatment.
Everything You Need Here at Lakeview Health Systems
Our facilities are designed to be self-contained, thus eliminating the need to identify a detox, then a treatment facility, and then a halfway house, etc. At Lakeview Health Systems, a patient who finishes detoxification generally moves into intensive inpatient rehabilitation. He or she no longer has to physically move. The burden of organizing and scheduling appointments and transportation around therapy meetings, doctors’ visits or clinical consultations is eradicated. Two of our facilities are equipped with cafeterias, doctors’ offices, meeting rooms, lecture rooms, and leisure rooms that provide patients with everything they need in one place. A patient’s interdisciplinary team can closely monitor progress and immediately address changes in a patient’s condition.
As patients move from detox and inpatient rehabilitation, the level of supervision and structure alters. In our final two levels of care, patients may reside in a special community known as “The Villages.” The Villages are separate sober living quarters designed to prepare patients to return to their communities. The natural flow from intense treatment to less closely supervised independent living is accompanied by daily treatment. In this way, patients have the opportunity to confront triggers of the outside world with the ability to process those triggers and discuss appropriate responses in group therapy, 12-step workshops, and individual counseling. Identifying specific triggers before re-integration can help create a solid aftercare plan and help prevent relapse. (See below for full descriptions of each treatment level).
