Our Addiction Treatment Philosophy
Lakeview Health accepts the medical community's and the surgeon general's categorization of addiction as a chronic disease of the brain and body. To meet the challenge of that categorization, we base our treatment on a medical, multidisciplinary model.
Everyone who enters our state-of-the-art alcohol and drug detoxification facility, or any of our treatment programs, is attended to by a team of board-certified doctors, nurses, clinicians and licensed, master's-level therapists with specialized training in alcohol and drug rehabilitation. A medical and therapeutic team is assigned to each patient, enabling the staff to create an ever-evolving treatment plan. Our medical and clinical staff are present onsite 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to monitor and respond to changes in a patient's physical or psychological condition immediately.
Comprehensive Intensive Treatment
A comprehensive, individualized treatment plan includes medical treatment, nursing care, a psychiatric component to address emotional and psychiatric disorders such as dual diagnosis, therapeutic
modules such as individual counseling and group counseling, bio-psychosocial rehabilitation, peer support such as group counseling and 12-step workshops, relapse prevention, family counseling and aftercare treatment plans.
Our goal is to introduce and reinforce living in abstinence through recovery. Addiction is a disease that requires lifelong attention to maintain a state of remission. Each patient will learn that appropriate actions will help him or her avoid relapse; how to handle triggers without responding by using drugs and alcohol that consequences result from personal actions that a clean and sober life is characterized by personal growth and emotional stability.
We strive to empower our patients through dignity, knowledge and tools that allow them to return to healthy and productive lives in their communities.
