Company History and Development

Helping People Recover from Addiction Since 2001

Lakeview Health Systems is a private substance abuse treatment center that opened in 2001. Our founding partners are compassionate people with a personal interest in helping others recover from drugs and alcohol. Since opening, we have invested heavily in our facility to constantly improve the program, attract the best employees, and ultimately, to help our patients.

A Medical Approach to Rehab

Our founders strongly believe that addiction and alcoholism are diseases, and have placed heavy emphasis on the medical treatment of addiction. We employ a large team of medical doctors, psychiatrists, and addiction nurses for the diagnosis and treatment of addiction and any co-occurring mental health issues.

Professionally Trained Addiction Therapists with Years of Experience

Our therapists all hold Master’s level degrees and must have extensive experience in drug rehabilitation and substance abuse treatment. We continuously invest resources to maintain a low patient-to-staff ratio, which allows us to give individualized care to all patients. We also have a case management team, which handles discharge and aftercare, allowing our therapists to focus full-time on patients in drug rehab.

Three Modern Facilities for Various Levels of Care

Over the years we have constantly upgraded, improved, and expanded our treatment center in the name of patient comfort and improved treatment. Currently we operate our program from three sites in close proximity to each other, offering separate buildings for different levels of care: an inpatient drug and alcohol detox and intensive rehab facility, our larger “Main” building for residential and outpatient treatment services, and our sober living complex, The Villages.

A Hands-On Board of Directors

Each member of Lakeview Health Systems’ Board of Directors works full-time and directly influences all decisions made by our treatment center management team.

We Always Strive to Be Better

We are always striving to improve our drug rehab. We direct substantial resources towards improving patient care, and ensuring our facility is state-of-the-art. And our licensing and accreditation provide an objective third-party opinion: we are state-licensed by Florida’s Department of Children and Families, and we are nationally accredited by The Joint Commission, both of which hold on-site surveys to measure and recognize treatment centers with exceptional patient care.
