End stage addiction is when the body is dependent on drugs and alcohol and can no longer function without them. This can create an extremely uncomfortable feeling for addicts and cause their lives to revolve around the next ‘fix’.

Lakeview Health Systems is a safe, secure and confidential inpatient addiction treatment center. Our highly trained and experienced staff of doctors, nurses and master’s-level therapists understands the relationship between the psychological and physiological effects of drug and alcohol abuse. They also work together to allow us to deliver a multidisciplinary approach to detoxification and addiction treatment.

To completely address all aspects of addiction, a recognized disease of the brain and body, requires time, consistency, structure and support. Inpatient medical detox is the first level of care in addiction treatment. Addicts who enter inpatient medical detox are considered patients, as they are being medically monitored on a daily basis in a hospital setting. A comprehensive inpatient treatment center can build the foundation for recovery after detox is complete.

Inpatient detox addresses medical components and stabilization including:

  • Doctor assessment and regular monitoring
  • Regular taking and monitoring of vital signs
  • Daily giving of detox medications on a taper
  • Introduction to relapse prevention
  • Aftercare recommendations to decrease risk of relapse

Those addicts who have underlying mental health issues or a physical condition which needs to be stabilized may enter inpatient drug rehab before going to a residential treatment center.
