The Family and Inpatient Drug Treatment

We believe that the entire family system should be involved in a person's recovery from drug addiction.  That's why we have a special 4-day  Family Recovery Program in place where family members can gain a full understanding of addiction and our recovery services. 

As part of the Family Recovery Program, family members visit our inpatient drug treatment center and meet with the patient's therapist and discharge planner. The family will also meet with a licensed family therapist and discuss issues surrounding trust, anger, guilt, co-dependency and personal boundaries. The goal is to educate families on addiction and relapse prevention and help family unit as a whole become healthy again.

Inpatient Drug Treatment and Eating Disorders

Another unique aspect of Lakeview's inpatient drug treatment center is our eating disorder component. Many patients who come to us for drug addiction treatment are also suffering from an eating disorder such as anorexia or bulimia. Lakeview has licensed therapists and nutritionists on staff who are trained in the treatment of eating disorders. We treat both the drug addiction and eating disorder concurrently, and develop a customized recovery program for each person. This type of dual diagnosis treatment has had very promising results.
