Detox (from both drugs and alcohol) can be frightening and withdrawal without medical attention can be uncomfortable or life threatening. We provide patients with care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and carefully monitor all physiological and psychological changes. Thus, we can address all medical issues that arise immediately. Our goal is to help ease the detox symptoms and prepare the patient for substance abuse treatment.
Our multidisciplinary teams have developed best, evidence-based practices to treat dual diagnosis disorders. In fact, we are one of only a few true dual diagnosis programs in the nation. Our holistic approach helps those suffering from addiction and mental disorders (such as alcoholism and bi-polar disorder). Addiction is a family disease. Once the patient enters drug and alcohol detox and moves into addiction treatment, the family must address the dysfunction that develops around the addict. We have created a comprehensive 4-day family therapy workshop for family members to alter destructive and enabling behaviors within the family unit. Our family therapists will work to move the family past the trauma and other issues toward a solid recovery.
All addicts are not alike. Besides our dual diagnosis treatment, we have created two other specialty drug and alcohol treatment tracks. Accepting the underlying spiritual nature of Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous, we have developed a Christian substance abuse treatment program.
