Servant Leadership Approach

At Lakeview Health, servant leadership is both a philosophy and a set of ongoing practices. Instead of one person holding the decision-making power, we believe in sharing power. Our addiction treatment specialists put the needs of others first and help people develop and perform as highly as possible. Below is a chart that shows what servant leadership looks like within the Lakeview Health organization.

What Servant Leadership Means For Lakeview Health

Senior leadership at Lakeview Health share the belief that the addiction treatment specialists are the experts in their specific jobs. They are the people who are most familiar with their duties and with our patients’ needs. Servant leadership means that employee feedback is welcome, suggestions encouraged, and recommendations taken seriously so that as an organization, our practices and needs of the medical & psychiatric team and clinical staff are understood and addressed. Leadership trusts our employees and listens to them. We believe that all staff members are leaders, each contributing to making a difference because they are able to identify challenges and offer solutions. When our staff is empowered to make day-to-day decisions, we know our patients and families receive the best care possible.

Carolyn Chambless

Position: Client Services Representative
Team: Client Services

Carolyn Chambless chose to re- focus her professional efforts from the corporate world to health and well- being back in 2012. She began building partnerships through her outreach efforts in addiction treatment and has found it to be the most rewarding experience of her career. Being in recovery since 1987, she remembers the fear of seeking help like it was yesterday. The disease of addiction is prevalent in her family, so she understands and relates to family member’s calls requesting assistance and guidance. Carolyn is excited to be a part of the team at Lakeview Health and looks forward to supporting each client she serves, as well as their patients on their journey to recovery.
