Eric Michael Kaplan, M.D. has 30 years of experience in psychiatry and forensic psychiatry. Dr. Kaplan graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine where he earned the Herman J. Selinsky Psychiatry Award for best performance in psychiatry rotation. While completing his postgraduate education at the University of South Florida, he served as Chief Resident of the Department of Psychiatry and earned the Chairman’s Award for Scholarly and Creative Activity and the Hibbs-Bourkard Award for being the outstanding resident in psychiatry. He continues his affiliation with the University of South Florida serving the Department of Psychiatry as an associate professor.
Dr. Kaplan has held positions as Medical Director at Charter Hospital of Pasco; St. Augustine Health Care Health Maintenance Organization; Guardian Life Insurance Company; and NeuLife Neurological Rehabilitation. He is board certified by the American College of Forensic Examiners, the American Board of Forensic Medicine, and the American Board of Disability Analysts.
