The Woodlands, Texas (August 9, 2018) – Lakeview Health, a nationally recognized addiction treatment facility, celebrates its six month anniversary by announcing the expansion of their patient services with a new evening intensive outpatient program (IOP).
“Lakeview Health at The Woodlands has done incredible work for those struggling with addiction in our first six months,” said Alan Goodstat, chief operations officer at Lakeview Health. “We want to continue providing accessible services to those seeking treatment by accommodating our patients in every way possible. One important element of recovery is establishing a routine, so an evening IOP program provides a treatment option for those who cannot interrupt their day-to-day work or school responsibilities.”
Individuals who engage in IOP receive individualized treatment plans tailored to meet their needs. The treatment plans are comprised of a variety of therapeutic interventions, including group therapy, individual therapy, and family therapy. IOP allows individuals to transfer the skills learned in treatment into their day-to-day life. They benefit from the continued therapeutic support as they re-engage in life responsibilities and as they celebrate milestones in their recovery. Lakeview Health also provides an effective aftercare program to maintain a connection with patients who have successfully completed the program. The alumni receive additional fellowship opportunities through alumni-specific support groups, weekend meet-ups, and community service projects.
“From the services we offer to our alumni aftercare program, we strive to be mindful of our patients’ needs on a large and individual scale. We’ve seen tremendous success with our existing services, and the addition of evening IOP enables us to reach more people in need of help,” said Alexandra Alonso, a therapist at Lakeview Health at The Woodlands.
“Patients are getting the necessary support for their addiction while continuing to provide for themselves and/or their families, which is a legitimate concern of those people entering treatment. Evening IOP eliminates the decision between going to work or school that day or attending treatment.”
The evening intensive outpatient program is open to adult men and women and held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6 – 9 p.m. If you are interested in learning more about the program for yourself or someone you know, contact Leslie Downing at [email protected] or 713-870-0274.
