Addiction professionals suggest getting away from your familiar surroundings for detox and treatment. On television shows like “Intervention” on A&E, they almost always send the addicts away from home. This helps you clear your head without the easy opportunity to leave treatment early. Even if you are in the same state, staying away from your immediate area still provides some distance between you and your drug dealers or drinking buddies.
Our Florida rehab is a fully functioning hospital, able to address all your medical and health needs. In active addiction, you neglect your health and may have underlying issues that need attention. At Lakeview Health, we have a team of medical doctors, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners and registered nurses to make sure that your physical and psychological health remains intact and issues are addressed immediately.
When you are using drugs and alcohol, you are engaging in behavior patterns that keep you from growing. Just eliminating drugs and alcohol through detox, without working on underlying behavior patterns, leads to relapse. Sometimes this relapse is not the obvious drugs or alcohol and that is why you need a therapist, counselors and behavioral technicians to help you identify your patterns and change them.
Our program offers a safe place for clients around the states. We are a home away from home for many of our addicts. Lakeview Health staff members are your temporary family, one that is helping you get through detox and rehab comfortably. We also understand the importance of incorporating your family and friends in your recovery program. We continue our support of you by making an ongoing connection for life.
Two additional aspects that sets us apart from the rest:
This is already one of the hardest decisions that you will have to make, but the most beneficial one of your life. The temporary sacrifice of leaving your life behind will pay off in spades after you complete treatment. At our treatment center, we offer a state-of-the-art family program to help get your loved ones educated about the disease of addiction.
We also ensure that after you return home you will have the support you need to continue growing in your recovery program. Lakeview Health’s alumni department will stay connected to you when you return home, offering additional support.
