Healthcare providers in the U.S., through Professional Health Programs, are typically afforded the opportunity to be evaluated, treated when necessary, and monitored for long-term stability in order to prevent loss of life and licensure. This model has been successful with a multitude of addiction and other psychiatric disorders. Dr. Alexis Polles’s presentation will highlight the model that has proven of benefit and may be useful in other populations.

About the Speaker:
Alexis Polles, M.D.
Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a Diplomate of the American Board of Addiction Medicine
Dr. Alexis Polles is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a Diplomate of the American Board of Addiction Medicine. For the past 30 years her practice has been devoted to treating those with addiction and co-occurring disorders at all levels of care, specializing in the treatment of trauma and addiction. Dr. Polles graduated from the Tulane University School of Medicine, completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at LSU Charity Hospital and a residency in psychiatry at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She has held faculty appointments at UMMC, the University of Florida, and at the William Carey School of Osteopathic Medicine. She is a member of several professional associations.
Dr. Polles was the Medical Director and CEO of the MS Professionals Health Program and joined the Florida Professionals Resource Network as Medical Director and CEO in January of 2017.
