Kate has been in the behavioral healthcare field for over a decade. She believes that mental health and substance use disorders need to be addressed through education, awareness, and comprehensive treatment. She has a passion and commitment to bring professional, caring people together.
Kate grew up on the East Coast, but after college first pursued a career in the entertainment industry, which over 17 years took her to California, London, and Florida before returning to the East coast to work in the Behavioral Health/Addiction treatment field. Kate now resides in Vero Beach, Florida, with her British husband John and their rescue Redbone Coonhound Mick “Jagger.”
Kate has worked on a national level as well as maintaining a territory in Florida and the DC, Maryland and Virginia region.
As a member of the Community Outreach team at Orlando Recovery Center, Stacey Henson is dedicated to helping clients, families, and organizations find quality treatment options. Before joining Advanced Recovery Systems in 2019, Stacey has spent over 20 years working in behavioral health, specializing in eating disorders and PTSD. She has her Master of Social Work from Washburn University in Topeka, KS and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has worked in many capacities and settings throughout her career to include managing and direct patient care within both inpatient and outpatient settings. She is excited for the opportunity to share her knowledge and passion for behavioral health with Orlando Recovery Center and the surrounding area.
Sarah received her bachelor’s in Psychology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Florida. She has been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida since 2014 and currently works as a Clinical Manager for the women’s treatment program at Lakeview Health. Prior to joining Lakeview in 2013, she worked for a non-profit outpatient program gaining experience with substance abuse and dual diagnosis clients and in the college counseling center at the University of North Florida developing her skills with trauma. In 2014, she completed Levels 1 and 2 of EMDR training and she went on to pursue certification in EMDR, which she obtained in 2016. She currently facilitates a gender-responsive trauma therapy group twice per week using Stephanie Covington’s Beyond Trauma curriculum.
