Join Dr. Stanger as she takes us on a lively journey exploring Failure to Launch across the Lifespan. Learn about the emerging trends in the data which effect behavioral health care, and explore cases and treatment strategies that range from 18-72. Dr. Stanger will discuss the use of evidence-based intervention strategies and ways you can integrate this knowledge into your everyday practices.
- Describe, Explain, Define, and Discuss Failure to Launch Across the Life Span (Emerging Adulthood)
- Compare and Contrast definitions of Failure to Launch, Boomerang, Helicopter parents across the lifespan from ages 18-72
- Use Case Examples to demonstrate differential ways that families and behavioral health care may address these ever emerging populations
About the Speaker:
Louise Stanger Ed.D, LCSW, CDWF, CIP
Dr. Louise Stanger is a speaker, educator, clinician, and interventionist. She uses an invitational intervention approach with complicated mental health, substance abuse, chronic pain, and process addiction clients. Dr. Stanger has been published in the Huffington Post, Journal of Alcohol Studies, The Sober World, Recovery Campus, Addiction Blog, and other media. The San Diego Business Journal listed her as one of the “Top 10 Women Who Mean Business” and is considered by Quit Alcohol as one of the Top 10 Interventionists in the country. Dr. Stanger speaks all over the country and trains staff at Paradigm Malibu, New Found Life, Lifeskill’s, and others. She develops original Family programs such as the one at Driftwood Recovery in Austin, Texas. She is the recipient of the 2014 Foundations Fan Favorite Speaker Award and the 2016 Joseph L.
