The Pectoralis Major is a focus of every workout plan. In case you did not know, the Pectoralis major starts on the sternum and clavicle and inserts on the lateral lip of the bicipital groove on the humerus. This allows the arm to abduct across the torso. This muscle is so important to people in the gym that Mondays are typically known as International Chest Day. In other words, the workout week starts at the chest. So why did I wait to put this muscle near the end of Muscle Mondays? More than half of everyday gym goers will over train this muscle by targeting it every day, or every other day. Give it a break and hit it twice a week at most for maximum gains.
