Senior leadership at Lakeview Health share the belief that the staff members are the experts in their specific jobs. They are the people who are most familiar with their duties and with our patients’ needs. Servant leadership means that employee feedback is welcome, suggestions encouraged, and recommendations taken seriously so that as an organization, our practices and needs of the medical & psychiatric team and clinical staff are understood and addressed. Andrew Johnson is a therapist at Lakeview Health. He earned his bachelor’s in political science from Middle Tennessee State University and a second bachelor’s in psychology from Tennessee State University. He received his master’s in addictions counseling from Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addictions Studies. Prior to joining Lakeview, Andrew worked in addiction intensive outpatient and detox programs. He is a Certified Addictions Professional and Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Andrew has been trained in 12-Step Facilitation, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Adrian Blotner, M.D., FAPA joined Lakeview Health in 2016 as our lead psychiatrist. He was promoted to Director of Psychiatry and Pain Recovery Program in 2017. He is board certified in both Psychiatry and Pain Medicine, and previously served as an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Chief of the Pain Medicine Division at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Past positions include Medical Director of the Dual Diagnosis & Chronic Pain Programs at JoEllen Smith Hospital in New Orleans, Chairman of the Psychiatry Department at East Jefferson General Hospital in New Orleans, and Clinical Faculty at the University of Tennessee Department of Psychiatry in Memphis. Dr. Blotner earned his bachelor’s degree in Physiologic Psychology from Tulane University, completed a Harvard Medical School Externship at Massachusetts General Hospital, and earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans. He completed his Internship & Fellowship in psychiatry at the Ochsner Clinic & Hospital in New Orleans. Dr. Blotner is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and was a member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine.

Alan Goodstat is a licensed clinical social worker and holds an advanced degree in Social Work from Columbia University. As senior vice president and chief compliance officer for Lakeview Health, Alan has more than three decades of experience in behavioral health and substance abuse operations. He works collaboratively with clinical and medical leadership to address all internal and external regulatory compliance for the 220-bed dual-diagnosis and addiction treatment facility. He supports, trains, and coaches utilization review and clinical staff on documentation and direct care issues. Alan works closely in the development and implementation of third party insurance providers and compliance documentation for the DEA, JCAHO, AHCA, DCF, FDA, CSAT, DOH and CMS. He has been instrumental in integrating EMR and lab services into residential treatment centers.

Alicia joined the Lakeview Health team in May 2015 as a graduate level intern. Alicia took on a full time position as Patient Advocate following her internship and has recently transitioned into a therapist role as of February, 2016. Alicia’s previous work experience includes Communities In Schools of Jacksonville where she worked with at-risk youth and their families in the public school system. Alicia is also a certified yoga teacher through the Yoga Alliance and has taught yoga, mindfulness and meditation in substance abuse facilities, women’s centers, and inner city schools.

Allison Booth, MS, LPC earned a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences from Stephen F. Austin State University, followed by a Master of Science in Counseling and Human Development from Texas Woman’s University. Upon graduation, Allison worked as an intensive outpatient program and individual therapist at Families First in Indianapolis for three years before moving back to Texas. In her position as case management coordinator for Montgomery County Managed Assigned Counsel, she worked with attorneys and law enforcement officials advocating for those with mental health and substance abuse disorders in the criminal justice system. That experience provided her a foundation to accept at position at Tri-County Behavioral Healthcare in Conroe, Texas. As the coordinator of outpatient crisis services and administrator of outpatient mental health services, Allison was responsible for oversight of adult program operations, staff development, and treatment coordination across departments. In her new role at Lakeview Health at The Woodlands, she collaborates with community agencies and practitioners to educate and support recovery from addiction in Montgomery County and North Houston.

Derek Gwaltney brings 18 years of high performing sales and management experience in the pharmaceutical and addiction industries. Dr. Ellen Ovson, M.D., FASAM joined Lakeview Health in 2017. She has more than 18 years of experience in addiction medicine and is board certified in internal medicine and certified in addiction medicine by the American Society of Addiction Medicine and the American Board of Addiction Medicine. As Lakeview Health’s medical director, she leads the entire medical team and serves at the authority on all medical issues. Dr. Ovson earned her undergraduate degree at Emory University and graduated from medical school at the University of Alabama. She did her internship at Charlotte Memorial Hospital in North Carolina and her residency at Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham, AL. She is a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Addiction Medicine and the American Society of Addiction Medicine, where she held several leadership positions.

Eric Michael Kaplan, M.D. has 30 years of experience in psychiatry and forensic psychiatry. Dr. Kaplan graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine where he earned the Herman J. While completing his postgraduate education at the University of South Florida, he served as Chief Resident of the Department of Psychiatry and earned the Chairman’s Award for Scholarly and Creative Activity and the Hibbs-Bourkard Award for being the outstanding resident in psychiatry. Kelsey Griffith joined Lakeview Health in 2018 as a Behavioral Health Associate and the Alumni Aftercare Coordinator at Lakeview Health at The Woodlands, Texas. Originally from Blackwood, New Jersey, Kelsey moved to Spring, Texas to completely change her environment and give her recovery a real chance. After completing treatment in 2015, she dove into Alcoholics Anonymous and finally started doing all that had been suggested to her for so many years. She is a person of long term recovery and hopes patients will someday say the same thing about themselves. In her role at Lakeview, she is responsible for coordinating alumni events, including a staff-alumni softball team, service events, and other sober fun activities. Lexie Leehan, CRC is the Alumni and Aftercare Supervisor for Lakeview Health. As an alumna of the program, she truly understands what our patients go through while they are here and after they discharge. Originally from a small town in Northwest Pennsylvania, Lexie made the decision to completely change her people, places and things, and come to Jacksonville, Florida to begin her journey in recovery.  After completing treatment in January 2015, she went to a local sober living in Jacksonville and started engaging with our True North Alumni support groups and events. In 2017, Lakeview Health hired Lexie as the Aftercare Coordinator at the Rose knowing she would be able to use her personal experience to help other women. Lexie believes Lakeview Health gave her the knowledge and the tools she needed to stay sober, and says she feels honored to pay it forward to patients during their stay with us and afterwards as True North Alumni.

Skylar Hollabaugh

Skylar Hollabaugh earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of South Florida and a master’s degree in mental health counseling from the University of North Florida. She completed her clinical internship at the University of North Florida Counseling Center, gaining experience working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, codependency, relationship issues and psychosocial stressors. Skylar joined Lakeview Health in 2014. As a primary therapist, Skylar is dedicated to helping patients understand and work through their core issues to overcome addiction. Skylar is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.

Stephanie Smith began her career at Lakeview Health in 2004 as a mental health technician. She worked through the ranks holding positions as a medical records clerk, admission coordinator, and medical records manager before being promoted to the director of business office in 2012. Stephanie is responsible for providing quality customer service, medical records compliance, and the admission process pertaining to benefits once a patient is admitted to Lakeview Health.
