Men’s Facility Information
The Lakeview Health alcohol and drug rehab center is a world away from the chaos of addiction—a modern, comfortable facility in sunny Jacksonville, Florida. Here you’ll find both excellent medical care and a peaceful atmosphere that supports healing and recovery.
The Star of Lakeview, Men-Only Program
The Star of Lakeview, a gender-responsive program that focuses only on men’s recovery. Our men’s alcohol and drug program provides space for both the detox and rehabilitation phases of treatment. Once men step-down to our partial hospitalization (PHP) or intensive outpatient program (IOP), patients live at off-campus apartments and are provided transportation to and from the Star for daily therapeutic programming.
The Star of Lakeview includes all the features of a luxury retreat. The men’s dining room serves both healthy dishes and comfort food to help men recover while feeling at home. All of our food items are prepared by our in-house, classically trained chef using the freshest ingredients of the season. Leisure spaces with televisions and games, as well as rooms for individual and group therapy, are designed to enhance comfort so you can focus on what’s important: your healing and recovery.
Our facility provides opportunities for outdoor and indoor activities that contribute to recovery. In 2015 we opened our new two-story wellness center. Filled with a large variety of exercise equipment, a yoga room, an indoor running track, and a lap pool, the wellness center is part of our holistic approach to addressing our patients’ physical health. A basketball court and putting green are also available to help men relax while they focus on fitness.
During the initial detox and inpatient phases of treatment, patients stay in on-campus living quarters at the Star program. The rooms are spacious, semiprivate, well-furnished and close to attending doctors and clinical therapists 24 hours a day.
During the partial hospitalization and outpatient phases of treatment, patients may live nearby at the Villages, a transitional environment where they have easy access to continuing treatment while they prepare for reentry into everyday life. At the Villages, patients are paired with same-sex roommates and live in comfortable, two-bedroom apartments, each with a kitchen, a bathroom, and a living room with a television. Staff members are on-site 24 hours a day, and shuttles are provided to take patients to and from the Star program and into town for off-site activities and nightly 12-Step meetings.
