Drug & Alcoholism Treatment Program

Levels of Care

Level of care is determined by the amount of medical and clinical care necessary to help an individual clear their body of alcohol and drugs and to establish the skills and support system needed to live life in addiction recovery. The more medical and clinical care that is needed, the higher level of care an individual may need when they begin treatment at Lakeview Health. Our levels of care include:

Medical Detox Program

This is the most acute level of care. During this stage of treatment patients are routinely monitored by medical staff, nurses, and clinicians to ensure the detox process is safe and as comfortable as possible.

Inpatient Rehab & Residential Program

Our Inpatient Rehab and Residential Program provides patients with a step down in the amount of medical monitoring and stabilization of biological withdrawal symptoms that can occur when the body is flushing out the toxic substances it has relied on during a person’s active substance use. Patients will begin to interact more with their support community at the facility – including therapists designated for their primary groups and their peers.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

This transition stage allows patients to continue to come to the facility for day-long support through therapy, groups, meetings, medical check-ups, and other care necessary. Patients begin to live off-campus at facility provided apartments. Transportation is provided to get to and from the facility each morning and evening. At this level of care, patients begin to use the recovery skills and tools learned in Rehab and Residential as they transition out of 24/7 care into real life.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Intensive outpatient program is the lowest level of care before a patient transitions out of treatment at Lakeview Health. During this stage, patients continue to come to the facility for various clinical programming and medical and psychiatric care as needed. Staff help patients get their affairs in order to leave Lakeview for the next stage of their recovery in the real world.

Aftercare Programs

Although it is called Aftercare, this planning begins the moment a patient begins their drug treatment program or alcoholism treatment program at Lakeview Health. The multidisciplinary treatment team works with each patient to assess their personal goals for continuing their sobriety after they leave the structured environment of treatment.
