Men’s Posttreatment Support
The recovery process does not end when patients leave Lakeview Health. Staying sober in the long run can be challenging, and having the support of professionals and peers who are in recovery can be crucial to living in recovery. We offer comprehensive support to help men manage their recovery and stay connected with peers from the Star of Lakeview Health.
Our support team contacts alumni on a regular basis with follow-up phone calls and maintains contact through email communication. We also publish newsletters that include information about Lakeview events, feature alumni stories, and provide encouragement.
A number of activities are offered to support people in their recovery, and family and friends are welcome to attend these events. In addition to Al-Anon meetings on campus at 3:30 pm each Wednesday, we run a monthly support group in Jacksonville, Florida. We can also help alumni locate 12-Step meetings and other resources in their area.
To help Lakeview alumni share their experiences, challenges, and inspiration, we host events throughout the year. We also offer several programs that help alumni maintain their sobriety.
Recovery coaching begins during residential treatment and continues long after treatment ends. Building on relationships they develop with patients during their stay at our center, recovery coaches are available to help alumni deal with any issues or stresses they may encounter. Often, a recovery coach is the first person at Lakeview that alumni contact when they need help.
