Women’s Medically Monitored Detox
Unlike many drug and alcohol treatment centers, Lakeview Health offers an on-site medical detox program. Many addiction treatment centers handle the detoxification process through a local hospital or another medical facility, or they only admit patients who have already completed detox. At the Rose of Lakeview, our women-only program, detox is available on campus, offering women a full continuum of care for their addiction treatment.
Detox is part of our integrated approach to addiction recovery at Lakeview, and often the first step in the process. Licensed staff provides a customized delivery of physician-approved and monitored procedures, and medical professionals are present 24-hours a day to supervise patient recovery. Our medical practitioners are able to collaborate with clinical staff to formulate a continuing recovery plan for each woman. They are also available to treat any co-occurring disorders that patients often experience and can help with chronic pain recovery.
Providing on-site detox allows patients to begin their journey to recovery earlier. While they are in detox, women participate in the New Beginnings program, which orients them to Lakeview and prepares them for the therapeutic process that follows the medically monitored withdrawal period. Although not as intense as their primary therapy, the New Beginnings program helps them start to work through the re-emerging feelings that had been suppressed by their alcohol or drug use.
