Being in recovery is something you should be proud of. It didn’t just happen overnight. You had to work for it and even when times got tough, you stuck it out, sucked it up, and kept fighting the good fight. Even through the sleepless nights, you had a goal and you stuck with it and that is something you should celebrate.
There are an infinite number of things you can love about your recovery, which makes being grateful so easy, right? From little things like being able to finish an entire movie without passing out halfway through, to the bigger things like being healthy enough to take your kids to the park to play; whatever it is you love about your recovery is yours, and everyone is different.
So this month we will jump on the Valentine’s Day love theme and celebrate the love you have for your recovery. Download the PDF of our recovery heart, print it out, and fill it with whatever you love about your recovery. There is no right or wrong way to fill it up; it’s totally up to you! Fill it in with words, pictures, drawings – however, you want to express what you LOVE about your recovery!
While your recovery heart is personal, we encourage you to share it with the world to showcase all the incredible things that recovery can bring to your life. If you’d like, please share your recovery hearts on social media using the hashtag #LoveYourRecovery. Let’s get this trending and spread the love!
