JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (May 8, 2015) – Lakeview Health, a nationally recognized addiction treatment center in Jacksonville, Florida, today dedicated three newly-constructed facilities at a ribbon cutting ceremony. The facilities include a 3,250 square-foot conference center that will be available to the community, a 7,250 square-foot administrative building, and a 10,300 square-foot wellness center with a four-lane, 25-meter pool. The new facilities will nearly double Lakeview Health’s interior space. The construction cost was $7.5 million. Dedication speakers included Jacksonville City Councilman Bill Bishop, Greenridge Investment Partners Founder and Partner Jack Cardwell, Lakeview Health President and CEO Roy M. Serpa, and Dr. Mark Gold, an internationally recognized addiction medicine physician and Director of Research at the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Educational Foundation. Guests at the ceremony included 55 drug and alcohol rehabilitation personnel from around the country. “Addiction is a disease that affects so many people here in Jacksonville and around the country,” said Lakeview CEO Serpa. “Lakeview Health is dedicated to greatly expanding Jacksonville’s ability to treat addiction patients, disseminating critical information to professionals nationwide who refer clients to us, and communicating to the public the power and positivity of recovery. “Our new facilities mark a major milestone toward achieving these goals, but this is only a beginning. Our spaces represent more than rooms in which people receive treatment. They are the places where lives are turned in the right direction. That’s why so much care is given to our patients’ surroundings at every step of their journey. From the warm entrance that welcomes folks inside, to the new athletic facilities that inspire a healthy lifestyle, our goal is to raise the bar for addiction rehabilitation.” The dedication ceremony marked the completion of phase two of a three-phase expansion and enhancement initiative launched in March of 2014.
